Meet Maria Vega: A Houston Native with a Passion for Real Estate and People

If there’s one thing I know well, it’s Houston. I’m Maria Vega, a proud native Houstonian who grew up in Southeast Houston and has spent nearly 14 years building a career in real estate. My journey has taken me from studying science at Texas A&M University to helping individuals, families, investors, and businesses navigate the ever-changing world of real estate.

I earned my degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from Texas A&M University, which may seem like an unexpected path to real estate. But my background in science taught me something that has served me well throughout my career: pay attention to the details, ask the right questions, analyze the information, and never stop learning.

Today, real estate is my full-time career and my passion.

Helping Clients Make Confident Real Estate Decisions

I specialize primarily in residential real estate, working with both buyers and sellers throughout Northwest Houston and the surrounding areas. Whether someone is purchasing their first home, selling a longtime residence, relocating, or looking for their next investment opportunity, I enjoy being the person they can rely on throughout the process.

Real estate transactions can sometimes feel overwhelming, and my goal is to make the experience as smooth, informed, and straightforward as possible. I believe that great service is about more than simply completing a transaction. It’s about listening to my clients, understanding their goals, communicating consistently, and making sure they feel confident in the decisions they make.

Over the years, I’ve also developed experience working with real estate investors and commercial rental and sales, giving me an opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients and properties.

More Than Just Sales

My role in real estate has grown significantly over the years. In addition to serving my own clients, I am currently with AAA Realty, where I am involved in many aspects of the brokerage’s day-to-day operations.

My responsibilities include Realtor management, office operations, compliance, marketing, and recruiting. Being involved on the brokerage side has given me an even greater appreciation for the many moving parts behind a successful real estate business.

I enjoy being busy, solving problems, and finding ways to make things work better. In many ways, real estate suits my personality perfectly—I’m outgoing, self-motivated, and genuinely enjoy helping people.

Looking Ahead

After nearly 14 years in the business, I’m still setting new goals.

One of my current goals is to obtain my real estate broker credentials and continue helping grow AAA Realty by bringing talented real estate professionals into the organization. I’m excited about the opportunity to combine my experience in sales and client service with leadership and brokerage management.

For me, success isn’t just about numbers. It’s also about building relationships, developing people, continuing to grow professionally, and creating a career that allows me to make a meaningful impact.

A Little About the Person Behind the Realtor

Of course, there’s more to me than real estate.

I’m an outgoing person who enjoys staying active, spending time with my dog, and—despite what anyone might tell you—I love to drive fast. No shame!

I also recognize the importance of working toward a healthy work-life balance. Real estate can be a career that never really turns off, especially when you genuinely care about your clients and your business. I’m constantly working on finding that balance between being there for my clients, growing professionally, and making time to enjoy life outside of work.

At the end of the day, I’m a Houstonian, a Realtor, a business professional, a dog lover, and someone who enjoys helping people reach their goals.

After almost 14 years in real estate, I’m still excited about what’s ahead—and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow, serve my clients, and see where the road takes me.

And yes, if that road is a little open and winding, I might enjoy the drive just a little more than most!–
