Own a piece of Texas history at the end of a peaceful county road in Brazoria County! The 28+/- acres
was once a part of the Orizimbo Plantation owned by James A. E. Phelps, a member of the Old Texas
300 and a surgeon in the Texas Army. General Santa Ana was held as a prisoner of war on this
property after his capture in the Battle of San Jacinto. He was visited here by Stephen F. Austin and
General Sam Houston. The beautiful property has numerous massive oak trees and some areas look
out to Bell Lake. The northwest portion of the property does have approximately 496′ of frontage on CR 255.
There is a gated shared access drive at the end of CR 255 that can be used to access the southeast
part of the property. There is electricity run to neighboring properties. While the land is close to the
Brazos, there is minimal floodplain affecting the land per the FEMA map. This is a great place for
weekend recreation or full time living. Boundary lines on aerial photos are approximate.
